Pocketalk Debuts to Global Audience at International CES
Sourcenext Exclusively Distributing Pocket Translator to Consumers in Japan, U.S., and Canada
LAS VEGAS, NV – January 08, 2018 — Sourcenext (TYO: 4344), Japan’s largest distributor and creator of products that inspire joy and move the world, today unveiled Pocketalk™, its portable AI-powered instant voice translation device, for the first time in North America. The device, which allows users to communicate in full, two-way conversations using 63 different languages, makes it easier for tourists and professionals to travel to different countries without learning the language first. Pocketalk will begin shipping in May, and is available this week for press demonstration at CES in the Las Vegas Sands Expo, Hall G, booth 53341.
“Whether you’re traveling for business or pleasure, being able to speak the local language maximizes the trip. It’s like having your own personal interpreter and allows you to confidently travel the world. We wanted to bring that experience to everyone, and the technology finally exists to make that a reality,” said Noriyuki Matsuda, CEO and founder of Sourcenext. “We’re excited to present this transformative device to users in the U.S. and Canada, especially after it launched to such a tremendous response in Japan.”
With Pocketalk, users can surpass language barriers and communicate with others directly. Pocketalk currently supports translation for: Japanese, English, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Cantonese (Hong Kong), Korean, Arabic, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Basque, Bengali, Bulgarian, Catalan, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Filipino, Finnish, French, Galician, Georgian, German, Greek, Gujarati, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Kannada, Khmer, Lao, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malay, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Sinhala, Slovak, Slovenian, Somali, Spanish, Sundanese, Swahili, Swedish, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese, and Zulu.
